So, I entered an Ableton Live competition today.
Basically, the premise was that you downloaded a sample pack, and that triggered a 24 hour countdown clock. I needed to submit the track before that clock ran out. I think the end result was pretty dope for only spending a few hours on it (I had to balance my time watching Deep Space Nine and playing the Day Z mod for Arma 2).
You can vote for my track through that link above (Need it again? here: http://contest.ableton.com/tracks/1662), and what’s cool is you can vote as many times as you like. So if you like mine but love someone else’s track too, you need not fear.
My goal is to rank in the top 25 in votes – that will move me on to the “second round” where my track will be judged by the artists M83, Nosaj Thing, and Ableton. So help me out here…. Mr. Plow, that’s my name, that name again is Mr. Plow — http://contest.ableton.com/tracks/1662
Oh also, a new mix is going to be put up later in the week. I’m being featured this week in the “Lower Level” mix series, so I’ll post a link to that and throw it up on my own podcast at some point.
Update:: You can vote until June 15th!
